Emmanuel Makros Award
The Emmanuel Makros Award has been presented to the outstanding respiratory therapist of the year since 1975. The recipient is nominated by any active member of the AARC/MSRC, and selected by the MSRC Board of Directors. 

The Makros Award is given in memory of Emmanuel Makros of Beverly, who although terminally ill, continued to work at his profession, giving exemplary care to his patients and in general upholding the highest ideals of the profession of Respiratory Care.
